The Ramstein Contact Group on Ukraine’s Defence will meet again on 4 June 2025 at NATO Headquarters in Brussels. The meeting is being organised by the United Kingdom and Germany with the support of the Allies. This was reported on NATO’s official website.
“On Wednesday, 4 June 2025, the United Kingdom and Germany will convene the Contact Group on Ukraine’s Defence at NATO Headquarters,” the statement said.
Billions of dollars worth of aid
The Ramstein format was initiated by the United States in April 2022 as an international platform for coordinating military support for Ukraine. The first meeting was held at Ramstein Air Base in Germany and was attended by 40 countries. Since then, the Contact Group has expanded to more than 50 countries, including NATO, EU and partner nations from around the world.
Despite the changes in the US administration, the format remains effective, with the United States remaining an active participant and leadership increasingly shifting to the UK and Germany.
During the previous meeting in April 2025, the participants pledged to provide Ukraine with military assistance worth about $24 billion, including investments in the Ukrainian defence industry.
The total amount of support is almost $170 billion
According to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the total assistance provided to Ukraine through the Contact Group format has already reached $170 billion.
The June meeting is expected to discuss new aid packages, the expansion of weapons production in Ukraine and the supply of modern air defence systems, missiles, ammunition and equipment.
