Russia continues to destroy peaceful Ukraine: drone and bomb attacks on cities, dozens of wounded, including children
Ukraine is once again under massive attack, with drones, bombs, and artillery shell ing of civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Sumy, Donetsk, and southern regions. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the proposal for a complete ceasefire and a separate one to stop hitting civilian objects remain in force.
🗣️ “All of this is absolutely deliberate Russian terror, which is stopped by an order – but an order in Russia. Easter proved it. We are ready to talk, there are no obstacles on the Ukrainian side and there will be no obstacles,” the Head of State stressed.
Results of the 22 April attacks: blood and fire
- Zaporizhzhya: an air strike on a residential area.
1 person died, 23 people were wounded, including 4 children. A multi-storey building was damaged, cars were burning. - Kharkiv: Russians attacked 4 districts of the city with kamikaze drones.
12 strikes were recorded, 9 people were injured. - Kupiansk (Kharkiv region):
7 people were injured in a rocket attack. - Odesa: drone strikes at night. The consequences are being clarified.
- Sumy, Donetsk and southern regions:
Anxious day with shelling and drones, damage to infrastructure.
The Silence of Easter is an example of possible humanity
There were no air raid alerts in Ukraine during Easter. This, according to the President, showed:
“One order from the Kremlin and the attacks stop. We called for a continuation of the silence after Easter. Our initiative to prevent attacks on civilian targets is in place, and we are open to discussing it.”
A call to the international community
Ukraine is once again making a plea to the world:
- put pressure on Russia to stop attacks on civilians;
- Provide more air defence systems to protect cities;
- bring those responsible for war crimes to justice.
