Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares has arrived on an official visit to Ukraine. The diplomat announced this on his page on the social network X.
“I have just arrived in Ukraine,” Albares said.
The Spanish Foreign Minister stressed that the war unleashed by Russia has been going on for three years. He stressed the importance of ending this war in 2025:
“We must make this year a year of peace. A just peace that will guarantee the sovereignty and freedom of Ukrainians. Spain supports them in this,” the minister wrote.
During the visit, Albares is expected to meet with Ukrainian officials to discuss further support for Ukraine in countering Russian aggression and Spain’s participation in the post-war reconstruction process.
