The number of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine is constantly growing, and this year their number has increased by 100,000 soldiers. This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, in an interview with Le Monde.

“According to our estimates, there are an additional 100,000 Russian soldiers on Ukrainian soil, which is a new high for this conflict,” Syrskyi said.

According to him, the war has reached such a level of technological development that it has become both a confrontation between technology and armed forces. This has significantly affected the tactics used by both sides on the battlefield.

The increase in the number of Russian troops is evidence of the Kremlin’s attempts to increase pressure on Ukraine’s defence, but, as Syrskyi stressed, the Armed Forces are ready to face these challenges by adapting their strategies to the new conditions of war.
