Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Oleksandr Syrskyi had his first telephone conversation with the new Commander of NATO’s Allied Forces Europe, US Air Force General Alex Hrynkevych.
Syrsky posted this on his Facebook page, noting that the conversation was held in the spirit of true partnership.
“I have received firm commitments of support from both America and the Alliance,” the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stressed.
Syrsky stressed that following the high-profile statements by US President Donald Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte about massive military assistance to Ukraine, a new, intensive phase of cooperation with the Alliance is expected in the coming months.
The General thanked the allies for their reliability and loyalty, stressing that such support is critical to strengthening the Ukrainian Defence Forces in the face of a protracted war.
