The US announces the expansion of the Abrahamic Accords: Trump prepares visit to Saudi Arabia and UAE

Steve Witkoff, Senior Advisor to US President Donald Trump and Special Representative for the Middle East, has announced that new announcements on the expansion of the Abrahamic Covenants are coming. He made the announcement during an official reception on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of Israel’s independence at the Israeli Embassy in Washington. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post.

“Very soon we will hear a lot of news related to the expansion of the Abrahamic Accords,” Vitkoff said in his speech. His words came ahead of Donald Trump’s planned visit to Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar next week.

In his speech, Vitkoff also assured that Iran would not obtain nuclear weapons. In his comments to journalists, he clarified that the diplomatic process is ongoing and that some progress has already been made in negotiations on Iran’s nuclear programme. According to him, the United States is preparing for the fourth round of negotiations.

Regarding the hostage negotiations, Trump’s adviser noted that the United States is in constant contact with the mediators – Qatar, Egypt and Israel. “We are working every day to make sure that the next Israeli Independence Day is not just a dream of joy, but real joy,” he added.

Israeli Ambassador to the United States Dr Michael (Yechiel) Leiter also spoke at the event. He stated:

“Israel is a miracle. We have returned to our historic homeland and gained the ability to defend ourselves. Together with the United States, we are at the forefront of the global fight against darkness.”

The Trump presidency, which is returning to active Middle East diplomacy, is trying to strengthen the Israeli-Arab alliance in the region. It is expected that the possible accession of new countries to the Abrahamic Accords will be one of the key results of the US president’s upcoming tour.
