The United Kingdom will continue to work with the incoming US presidential administration to strengthen support for Ukraine in Washington. This was stated by British Ambassador to Ukraine Martin Harris in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, Time Ukraine Israel reports.
“We support Ukraine before and after victory. I understand the importance of the position of the new US administration and that this support remains strong and uninterrupted,” Harris said. According to him, the United Kingdom will stand by Ukraine at all stages of the change in the White House.
The Ambassador noted that London is ready to work closely with the new US leadership, as well as with the current administration, to achieve a just peace for Ukraine. “I am confident that there is no country closer to the United States than the United Kingdom, and no country closer to Ukraine than we are,” Harris said, reaffirming the strategic alliance and support for Ukraine in the international arena.
This statement by the British diplomat reflects London’s consistent position to support Ukraine both in wartime and in the context of future post-war reconstruction, and underlines the reliability of the Anglo-American alliance in matters of Ukrainian security.
