During a working visit to France, the Ukrainian government delegation headed by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal signed a programme of cooperation with the General Secretariat for European Affairs of the French government. The document provides for the provision of expert support to Ukraine during the negotiation process on its accession to the EU. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in his Telegram.

“We are strengthening cooperation in the field of European integration. We have signed a programme that provides for the exchange of experience and assistance to Ukraine in the process of gaining EU membership,” Shmyhal said.

The programme provides for:

  • expert assistance in preparing negotiating positions;
  • exchange of experience in adapting European legislation;
  • coordination between government agencies of both countries.

Shmyhal stressed that Ukraine continues to move systematically towards full membership in the EU, and this agreement is another step towards a closer European future.
