On 27 May, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Kyslytsia met with Turkish Ambassador to Ukraine Mustafa Levent Bilgen to discuss the prospects of the peace process and the results of the Istanbul talks between the delegations of Ukraine and Russia.
This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
According to the report, the parties paid special attention to the meeting held on 16 May in Istanbul and discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation and current international challenges.
“The diplomats exchanged views on the future prospects of the peace process,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Turkey continues to act as a potential platform for negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. Istanbul previously hosted talks at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, and now the Turkish side is actively involved in peaceful diplomatic initiatives.
