Ukraine’s First Deputy Minister of Defence Serhiy Boyev met with a bipartisan US delegation that arrived in Kyiv with representatives of the McCain Institute. The visit was aimed at reviewing the security situation in Ukraine and identifying critical needs that the United States can help meet. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

During the meeting, the Ukrainian side presented up-to-date data on the situation at the frontline, as well as intelligence information on Russia’s intentions and the development of its defence industry. Serhiy Boyev emphasised the need for additional support, especially in the form of US-made weapons. According to him, Ukraine needs modern air defence systems, armoured vehicles, missiles and ammunition to effectively repel aggression.

Boev also presented the capabilities of the Ukrainian defence industry, drawing attention to the potential for cooperation in this area. He stressed that despite the strong support of the United States at all levels, Ukraine needs to be armed and strong to achieve peace.

The First Deputy Minister of Defence thanked the US partners for their position, noting that only joint efforts can counter Russian aggression.
