Ukraine is organising a large-scale summit of leaders of partner countries to be held in Kyiv on 24 February, the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his speech at the main session of the Munich Security Conference on 15 February.

“We are already working to ensure that on 24 February, the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion, we can come together in Kyiv and online. All European leaders. All key partners who protect our security. From Spain to Finland. From Britain to Poland. From Washington to Tokyo,” Zelenskyy stressed.

According to him, this meeting should provide a clear vision of the next steps for peace, security guarantees and the future of the collective policy of the Western countries.

The President also emphasised the importance of the US role in guaranteeing security for Ukraine and Europe. “Yes, they (guarantees – ed.) will be weak. But America will not give guarantees if there are no strong guarantees from Europe itself,” he added.
