Ukraine has up to 12 months to fulfil all the conditions to receive the full amount of funding under the Ukraine Facility programme with a total budget of €50 billion by 2027. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and Minister of Justice Olha Stefanishyna at a briefing in the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrinform reports.
According to Stefanishyna, this includes the adoption of at least eight key bills in the area of justice and judicial reform. “We have up to 12 months to complete all the necessary conditions to receive full funding… We are working with the parliament and committees to ensure that all the draft laws submitted for consideration are adopted,” she said.
Among the draft laws necessary to meet the requirements of the Ukraine Facility, she mentioned those related to reforming the judicial system, ensuring the enforcement of court decisions, and changes in the work of the National Asset Management Agency (ARMA) and other institutions.
“All of them have already passed the committees and been approved, and we hope that the parliament, in cooperation with the government, will find a compromise… and ensure that all the conditions for full access to EU funds are met,” the minister concluded.
