Ukraine has taken an important step in strengthening its security: Israel has provided the country with an early warning system for air attacks. This was announced by Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Michael Brodsky in an interview with the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia weekly.

According to Brodsky, Israel has fulfilled all its obligations and handed over “everything it was supposed to hand over” as part of this cooperation. He stressed that the process of transferring the system lasted “for many months”, emphasising the seriousness and importance of this step.

The key point is the implementation of the system, which is the responsibility of the Ukrainian side. Brodsky noted that all questions related to the functioning of the system should be addressed to the Ukrainian organisations involved in its implementation.

In February 2024, Israel’s representative to the UN, Gilad Erdan, announced the transfer of an early warning system for missile and drone attacks. He stressed that Israel is ready to share its experience and knowledge to help Ukraine in the face of the ongoing threat.

This system will be an important element in protecting Ukrainian citizens, allowing them to respond quickly to air threats and minimise the consequences of attacks. In the face of current challenges, security remains a priority for the Ukrainian state.
