Rheinmetall, a manufacturer of armoured vehicles, confirmed that it was about 10 units. At the same time, the company did not finance this delivery.

“Most likely, the supply was financed by either the German government or the Ukrainian authorities,” the report says.

Future production of Lynx in Ukraine

Earlier, Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger announced plans to set up Lynx production directly in Ukraine. The project is to receive financial support from the German government, which underscores the desire to strengthen Ukraine’s defence industry.

“This step will be an important contribution to providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine with modern equipment and will increase the level of cooperation between Ukraine and Germany in the defence sector,” Papperger said.

The Lynx armoured personnel carriers are among the most advanced in the world. They are characterised by high mobility, versatility and powerful protection, making them an important addition to the arsenal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The delivery underlines the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Germany and is an important step in strengthening Ukraine’s defence capabilities amid the ongoing war.
