The United States and Ukraine have reached the final stage of agreeing on a strategic agreement on the establishment of the Investment Fund for the Reconstruction of Ukraine. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on television.
According to the Prime Minister, the document is currently titled “Agreement on the Establishment of Rules and Conditions for the Investment Fund for the Reconstruction of Ukraine” and is the preliminary legal basis for launching the investment attraction mechanism.
“We are not considering signing any agreements without security guarantees. For two weeks, the Ukrainian and American sides have been intensively working on this document, and now we have the final version of the agreement,” Shmyhal said.
The Prime Minister clarified that the future fund will be a joint reconstruction mechanism, where Ukraine and the United States will participate equally in the management and filling of the fund. At the same time, the agreement contains key provisions that provide financial and security guarantees for participants and donors.
This initiative is an important milestone in the economic partnership between Kyiv and Washington and opens up new opportunities for international businesses and investors willing to contribute to Ukraine’s recovery.
