Zelenskyy invited Trump to Ukraine: “See the war with your own eyes”

In a high-profile interview with CBS News, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on former US President Donald Trump to come to Ukraine before offering plans for ceasefire talks with Russia.

“Come and look at the people, civilians, soldiers, hospitals, churches, wounded or dead children… And then we will talk about the plan. You will understand what Putin has done,” Zelenskyy said, addressing Trump in English.

He recalled Russia’s latest attack on Kryvyi Rih and said that Russia cannot be trusted in negotiations, and that the US neutrality in this war is unacceptable.

“President Trump, as a strong leader of a strong country, should be on the side of Ukraine,” Zelenskyy said.

According to him, the security of the entire world is at stake. He warned that Putin’s ultimate goal is to restore the Russian Empire and attack the territories defended by NATO. This is a risk of a world war.
