President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the horrific ballistic attack on Sumy by the Russian Federation on Palm Sunday, 13 April. According to preliminary data, dozens of civilians were killed or injured.

Enemy missiles hit an ordinary city street, destroying residential buildings, educational institutions and civilian cars. At the time of the strike, believers were on their way to churches.

“Only bastards can do this. Taking the lives of ordinary people. My condolences to the family and friends. A rescue operation is underway,” Zelensky wrote on Telegram.

The President called for a tough response from the world – the United States, Europe and all those who want the war to end:

“Peace is impossible without pressure on the aggressor. Talking has never stopped ballistics and bombs. We need the attitude towards Russia that a terrorist deserves.”

The President reminded that Russia deliberately prolongs the war, turning every day into an act of terror.
