Zelensky: Russia intensifies air terror while the world allows it – only tougher pressure will stop the aggressor

Russian air attacks on Ukraine are intensifying every day, which shows the Kremlin’s true intentions – to continue massive terror against civilians until the international community takes tougher measures. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his address on the morning of 6 April.

“Last night, ballistic missiles were fired at Kyiv, attack drones at the region. Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi and Cherkasy regions were also hit,” the Head of State said.

According to Zelenskyy, in the last week alone, the Russians have fired on Ukraine:

  • more than 1460 guided bombs
  • almost 670 attack drones
  • More than 30 missiles of various types, of which more than 20 were launched last night alone

“Each of these strikes is against our people, against children. They are fighting against children who are just playing on the playgrounds. My sincere condolences to all those who have lost their loved ones. I thank the services that save lives,” the President said.

Zelenskyy also stressed that this escalation is not an accident, but a response by dictator Putin to all diplomatic initiatives of the world. He called on international partners not to reduce pressure on Russia, but rather to strengthen sanctions, accelerate military support and unite around security guarantees.

“Each of the partners – America, Europe, the entire free world – must see clearly: Russia is going to continue killing. Therefore, there can be no easing of pressure. We must act together to stop this invasion,” Zelenskyy said.
