President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi expressed readiness for personal negotiations with Russian dictator Volodymyr Putin to end the war. He stated this in an interview with the BBC, emphasizing the importance of dialogue with those who actually make decisions in Russia.
“We have always said that we are ready for negotiations if a plan is fully prepared at the second Peace Summit and if Russia agrees to discuss this plan in accordance with the UN Charter. Solving all the crises they have created is also part of these conditions. We will be ready to talk together with our partners to representatives of Russia. Whether it will be Putin or someone else – it doesn’t matter, let’s be honest,” Zelensky said.
The President emphasized that if the world community unites around Ukraine, then in order to end the war, it is necessary to conduct negotiations with those who actually make decisions in Russia.
“If we want to end the war, we need to talk to those who decide everything in Russia. If we have all the strength for this and the world community supports Ukraine, we will be ready for such negotiations,” concluded the head of state.
