Zelenskyy and Starmer discuss military cooperation amid announcement of Britain’s ‘triple strike’

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer. The main topic of the talks was military cooperation and future joint steps to be taken in the near future.

📌 “As always, a productive conversation with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Europe must be at the table to end the war and build strong security guarantees. The security of Ukraine is inseparable from the security of Europe,” Zelenskyy wrote on his X(twitter).

The parties agreed on further steps of military cooperation to be implemented during the active week. The Ukrainian leader also thanked the UK for its consistent support and assistance.

Britain is preparing a ‘triple whammy’ to support Ukraine
Media reports indicate that the UK government is to announce a new large-scale aid package for Ukraine on 24 February, dubbed the ‘triple whammy‘.

According to The Telegraph, Prime Minister Starmer may present as early as Monday:

  • Expanding military assistance
  • Additional sanctions against Russia
  • Political support for Kyiv in the international arena

The new package of measures will be presented despite pressure from Donald Trump, who is demanding concessions from Kyiv in the war with Russia.
