President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has named three key factors that allow Russia to continue its military aggression. According to him, these are the circumvention of sanctions, high oil prices, and a lack of long-range missiles and drones in Ukraine.
“Russian military production, which provides terror, is based on schemes to circumvent sanctions, without which Russia would not have critical components. High oil prices allow them to finance the war. And finally, Ukraine still lacks enough long-range missiles and drones to effectively destroy enemy targets,” Zelenskyy said.
He thanked international partners for strengthening sanctions, called for more decisive action to limit Russia’s oil export revenues, and stressed the importance of increasing Ukrainian arms production.
“We will increase the production of our missiles and drones and call on all partners to invest in Ukraine’s defence industry. These are investments in the protection of life, ” the President stressed.
Over the past week, Russia carried out 1,260 air strikes, used 750 attack drones and launched more than 10 missiles of various types. This demonstrates that the Kremlin has no intention of reducing the intensity of its attacks, using all available resources to wage war.
