Next week, Ukraine will actively cooperate with partners to strengthen support for the Defence Forces and implement a strategy aimed at forcing Russia to end the war. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening address.
The President stressed that Moscow has no intention of stopping its aggression and is stepping up military production in an attempt to circumvent sanctions and to seek support from North Korea. According to him, soldiers from North Korea may appear on the battlefield in the near future.
“Ukraine will have to actually fight against North Korea in Europe. The absence of stronger decisions by our partners only encourages Putin to continue investing in terror,” Zelenskyy stressed.
The President is confident that the international community can stop the further escalation of the conflict. However, according to him, words alone are not enough for this – concrete actions are needed, which Ukraine has already outlined in the Victory Plan. It includes measures to prevent further aggression by Russia.
“We expect more decisive pressure on Russia and increased support for Ukraine. This will be fair,” Zelenskyy said, stressing that the lack of solutions leads to continued Russian strikes and loss of life.
The next week will be a time of intensive work with international partners to support Ukrainian defenders and to implement a strategy to force Russia to end the war. Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine is preparing important signals of support that will be crucial for further resistance.
