Ukrainian troops operate on the territory of the Russian Federation: the occupiers’ offensive in Sumy region is complicated
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting active operations on the territory of Russia, which significantly slows down the advance of the occupation forces towards Sumy region. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening address.
“We remain active in preventing the occupier from entering the territory of Sumy region and our Kharkiv region,” the Head of State stressed.
According to Zelenskyy, he had a conversation with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, during which they discussed the situation at the front and the effectiveness of the Ukrainian military’s actions in Russia.
Zelensky notes heroism of Ukrainian troops
The President thanked the Ukrainian soldiers for their resilience and combat successes, especially noting the following units:
- 225th separate assault regiment
- 47th separate mechanised brigade
- Special Operations Forces for effective actions to destroy the enemy
- The 35th Separate Marine Brigade, which demonstrates high efficiency in combat in the Pokrovske area
“Thank you all, warriors! You are real! I am grateful to everyone who helps the army and works in the defence sector of Ukraine,” Zelenskyy concluded.
Recently, Ukrainian forces have significantly increased pressure on the enemy not only on the front line but also in Russia, which creates additional difficulties for the occupiers.
Can Ukraine expand its offensive and change the course of the war? The situation on the frontline remains dynamic, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to demonstrate their determination in the fight for independence.
