Poltava Region, Ukraine – The Poltava Region Prosecutor’s Office has succeeded in recovering almost UAH 10 million in share contributions from a local construction company that evaded its obligations during the construction of two apartment buildings in the village of Rozsoshentsi. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
Details of the case
In 2019, the developer and the executive committee of the Shcherbanivka village council entered into agreements on equity participation in the development of the village’s infrastructure. However, the company failed to pay the contractual contributions in an attempt to avoid financial obligations.
The Poltava Regional Prosecutor ‘s Office filed a lawsuit to enforce the recovery of funds. The court of first instance granted the claim, and after reviewing the case in the appellate and cassation instances, the decision was finally confirmed.
As a result, the funds were recovered and transferred to the community budget.

The Shcherbanivka village council thanked the prosecutor’s office for its active position in protecting the public interest and said that the funds would be used to:
– support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
– Improvement of community territories
– Arranging shelters for local residents

The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office stressed the importance of such decisions to meet the social needs of communities:
