Pope Francis, who has been in Rome’s Gemelli Hospital for twelve days, continues to show positive dynamics in his condition. This was reported by the Vatican press service in a morning communiqué on 28 February.

The report notes that the night passed calmly, and now the Pontiff is resting, and his condition remains stable.

The Vatican’s evening bulletin of 27 February also noted the improvement in the clinical picture. Doctors continue treatment using high-flow oxygen therapy with a venturi mask.

The official report states that Pope Francis spent the morning receiving respiratory physiotherapy, alternating it with rest, and after an additional treatment session, he spent time in prayer in the chapel on the 10th floor of the hospital. There he received Holy Communion and returned to his work.

According to doctors, the Pontiff has overcome the most critical phase of the disease, but the overall situation remains difficult, and doctors are still refraining from making a final prognosis regarding his full recovery.
