A rally of Muslims expressing solidarity with Palestine took place on Sofia Square in the center of Kyiv. The event gathered several dozen participants who waved Palestinian flags and shouted slogans. The action was a response to the recent assassination of Ismail Haniya, head of the Hamas politburo, in a rocket attack on his residence in Tehran.
Hamas officially confirmed the death of Haniya, placing responsibility on Israel. Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, said the incident would have serious consequences for Israel, describing it as an act of “preparation for severe punishment.”
