Russian aircraft drop bomb on residential building in Yarova: father and son killed

On Friday, 25 April, at around 05:10 a.m., Russian troops carried out an air strike on the village of Yarova in the Lyman community in Donetsk region. A 61-year-old man and his 88-year-old father were killed as a result of a direct hit by a FAB-250 bomb on a residential building. This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

The attack also damaged about ten residential buildings, a shop and an outbuilding. According to preliminary reports, the air strike was carried out with FAB-250 guided missiles from the UMPC.

This attack was another example of the targeted shelling of civilian infrastructure by Russian troops, resulting in civilian deaths and destruction of settlements.

On 24 April, Russian troops also launched an artillery strike on the town of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast, damaging power lines.

The investigation into the circumstances of the air strike in Yarova is ongoing, and law enforcement agencies are collecting evidence to bring the perpetrators to justice.
