News from israelinfo reports serious charges against 57-year-old Anna Kurban, a kindergarten teacher in Netanya. In light of the horrific testimony, a court in Petah Tikva opened a trial in which Kurban is accused of abusing seven children, the main victim of which was an eight-month-old girl.

Investigation and evidence

The investigation into the case began in March of this year, when the parents of the children, suspecting possible abuse, handed over recordings from a hidden video recording device to the police. These recordings recorded horrific scenes involving the teacher.

According to the indictment, Anna Kurban, who worked in the “Kapytoshka” kindergarten, was responsible for a group of children aged six months to one and a half years. In the course of her work, she showed aggression towards children, cruelly holding them, throwing them on their beds, and violently rocking them in their cradles, which resulted in traumatizing their heads.

Cases of ill-treatment

The indictment describes in detail cases of forced feeding and humiliation of children. One of the victims of the abuse is the granddaughter of Kurban herself, which raises further questions about the safety of the kindergarten.

Also in the case is the teacher’s assistant, who is suspected of more serious crimes, but fled to Russia, avoiding responsibility.

Other cases of cruelty

This case is not the only one: in August, the prosecutor’s office charged 22-year-old Shela Sheinker, a teacher at the Ha-Gan Ha-Shakoof kindergarten, which also had numerous cases of child abuse. The mother of one of the pupils, noticing the child’s strange behavior, attached a hidden camera to her belongings. Recordings obtained from the camera confirmed the presence of screams and insults from the teacher.

The police, having received the statement, removed the recordings from the surveillance cameras in the kindergarten, which recorded about 60 cases of violence against 12 children committed by the accused. Scenes of abuse included beatings, pinching, hair pulling, and children being sprayed with cleaning agents.

These cases cause alarm among parents and society, questioning the safety of children in kindergartens. All actions of law enforcement agencies and social services should be aimed at protecting children and ensuring their safety.
