Detention of Boguslaev’s son in Monaco: investigation into the embezzlement of Motor Sich assets is gaining momentum

Law enforcement officers in Monaco have detained Oleksandr Boguslayev, the son of Vyacheslav Boguslayev, the former president of Motor Sich, in connection with an international investigation into the embezzlement of the company’s assets. The detention took place as part of an international investigation into the embezzlement of assets of the Ukrainian aviation company, the SBU reports.

Alexander Boguslaev lives in the One Monte Carlo luxury residential complex in the centre of Monte Carlo, next to a famous casino. According to journalistic investigations, he owns luxury real estate in France, particularly in Nice, worth more than €52 million. These assets were acquired through French companies, some of which are registered in the name of his minor son.

Earlier, the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine confiscated Vyacheslav Boguslaev’s assets, including real estate, corporate rights and cash, totalling almost UAH 1 billion. The Security Service of Ukraine also seized Boguslaev’s property, including cash, vehicles and real estate.

The Task Force UA interagency working group is working to seize the Boguslaev family’s foreign assets, in particular in France and Monaco. The group has already asked the French authorities to cooperate in the seizure of the assets.
