Last night, two men were detained as part of a large-scale operation by the Rosh Hashanah police aimed at combating illegal drug production and trafficking. A search of their apartment revealed a significant amount of drugs, weapons and counterfeit money, as reported by the israelinfo news portal.

Dangerous findings seized during the search

The police conducted a thorough search, which resulted in the discovery of counterfeit banknotes worth approximately 1,000 shekels, as well as several weapons, including pistols and airsoft rifles. Among the items seized were scopes, optical sights and numerous metal bullets used for shooting airsoft guns.

The law enforcement officers paid special attention to an ice cream maker, which, as it turned out, was used to create desserts with cannabis-based additives. Along with this, detectives seized about 15 kg of a drug substance, as well as dozens of bags of chewing gum and biscuits, which also contained narcotic components.

Further actions of law enforcement agencies

The detainees, 27-year-old residents of Yerukham and Rosh Hashanah, remained in custody after interrogation. Today, the police plan to apply to the court to extend their detention.

This operation underlines the police’s efforts to combat drug trafficking and illegal drug production, which pose a serious threat to society.
