In memory of the 7 October massacre, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) has organised an exhibition featuring items seized from Hamas terrorists during the attack on Israel and the fighting in the Gaza Strip. The exhibition opened today and will run for a week, attracting diplomats, representatives of international research institutions and journalists.
The exhibition includes a variety of items used by the terrorists in the 7 October invasion, including pick-up trucks, motorcycles, tractors, uniforms, intelligence documents and weapons, including anti-tank missiles, grenade launchers, explosives and drones. Since the beginning of the conflict, the Enemy Asset Seizure Unit has confiscated around 70,000 pieces of enemy equipment, including around 1,250 anti-tank missiles and RPGs, and 4,500 explosive devices.
The exhibition was organised by the Technology and Logistics Directorate, and is managed by a unit responsible for the seizure of enemy assets. Most of the members of this unit are reservists and their job is to collect, document and study enemy weapons and equipment from all combat zones.
This initiative is intended not only to commemorate the tragic events, but also to demonstrate to the world the scale of the threats facing Israel. The exhibition will be an important tool for raising awareness of the situation in the region and contributing to an understanding of the danger posed by terrorist groups.
Photo galleries of seized weapons and vehicles used by terrorists during the 7 October attacks, as well as graphs of seized assets are also available for interested visitors.
