On 4 October 2023, the Kyiv police reported the detention of a 31-year-old drug dealer who was distributing dangerous psychotropic substances through the mail.
Operatives of the Drug Crime Department and investigators of the Solomianskyi Police Department detained a man on the sale of another batch of psychotropic drugs. As it turned out, the detainee was selling dangerous substances in the capital using remote sales schemes.
During a search of his apartment, law enforcement officers found about 1.5 kg of amphetamine, 1.5 kg of Alpha-PVP, ecstasy pills, and packaging equipment. The estimated value of the seized items on the black market is about two million hryvnias.
The court imposed on the detainee a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention with the right to be released on bail. The offender faces up to ten years in prison with confiscation of property. The police are continuing the investigation to identify possible accomplices and other details of the case.
