The Israeli army has reported the deaths of two soldiers, Nadav Cohen and Nachman Raphael Ben-Ami, during fighting in northern Gaza. The incident occurred on Thursday, when the unit was performing a combat mission, Ynet News reports.
Sergeant Major Nadav Cohen, 21, from Beit Hanan, served in the 51st Golani Battalion. Staff Sergeant Nachman Raphael Ben-Ami, 20, from Eilat, was also a member of the unit. In addition to them, another soldier was seriously wounded in the incident, whose name has not been disclosed.
According to Israeli media reports, a crane crashed during an operation in the border area between Israel and Gaza due to bad weather conditions, resulting in a tragedy. During the incident, several other soldiers were injured with varying degrees of severity.
The Israeli army opened an investigation to find out the details of the incident.
