The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that during the offensive of the Ukrainian Defence Forces in the Kursk region, the losses of Ukrainian troops were half those of the Russian occupiers. He spoke about this in the documentary “Operation Kursk. How it really happened from the first hand”.
Russia’s defence in “uncomfortable” conditions
Syrsky stressed that during the operation, the Russian military found themselves in an unusual role for them – they were forced to defend their own territory. At the same time, the conditions in which the occupiers operated were uncomfortable and unfavourable for them.
“They (the occupiers) felt what we feel. They were forced to defend their own territory in conditions that were not comfortable for them. Our losses during the offensive were actually half those of the defenders,” the Commander-in-Chief noted.
The documentary provides detailed coverage of the operation, which has become one of the most important strategic initiatives of the Ukrainian Defence Forces. It demonstrates that even in difficult conditions, the Ukrainian army remains effective and inflicts significant losses on the enemy.
The operation in Kursk region is yet another example of the determination and professionalism of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which confidently deter the enemy and go on the offensive to protect Ukraine’s independence.
