Partizan restaurant on fire: rescuers quickly extinguished the fire without casualties

On the morning of 12 October at 05:33, the operational dispatch service of Obukhiv district received an alarming report of a fire in the village of Romankiv, which is part of the Kozynske territorial community. Arriving at the scene, the rescuers found that the fire had engulfed the two-storey wooden building of the Partizan restaurant, with a total area of 2,000 square metres.

Firefighters identified a significant threat as the fire could have spread to neighbouring buildings. According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv Region, the firefighting took about three hours. The fire was contained at 09:10, after which the firefighters began to shed wooden structures located near the epicentre of the fire.

The fire was extinguished using 10 units of special equipment and 26 rescuers. Thanks to the efficiency and professionalism of the rescue services, 13 buildings of the complex were saved. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries. The cause of the fire is currently being established.

This incident once again underlines the importance of complying with fire safety regulations, especially in facilities containing wooden structures.
