Today, Kyiv opened the Podil bridge crossing to cars and public transport. This route will now greatly simplify communication between the right and left banks of the Dnipro River, Time Ukraine Israel reports, citing the telegram channel of the mayor, Vitali Klitschko.

How is the movement organised?

From the right bank, the bridge is accessed from Naberezhno-Khreshchatytska Street, and the exit leads to Petra Vershyhora Street. From the left bank, you can enter the bridge from Petra Vershyhora Street and exit on Naberezhno-Rybalska Street.

The route also includes a newly constructed tunnel that provides a fast connection between the bridge and Vershyhora Street. This provides convenient access to Roman Shukhevych Avenue and the Troyeshchyna residential area. Now it takes much less time to get from Troyeshchyna to the city centre.

Restrictions on freight transport

At the moment, Podilskyi bridge crossing remains closed to heavy vehicles.

Improvement works continue

Despite the opening of the bridge, work continues to improve the surrounding area, including the newly constructed tunnel. According to the city authorities, the improvements are expected to be completed by the end of the year. Specialists are currently working around the clock to complete all the necessary work as soon as possible.

The Podilskyi Bridge is not only a new infrastructure facility, but also an important step towards improving urban logistics, which opens up new opportunities for the residents of the capital.
