The Reservists movement – Major Gilad Akh: Channel 7.
The Reservists – Victory Generation movement has launched an important initiative aimed at strengthening security and rebuilding communities on the frontline. Reservists who took part in the fighting in Gaza and Lebanon are now ready to move to these settlements to strengthen defences and help rebuild them. This is reported by Time Ukraine Israel portal, citing Israel’s Channel 7.
Strengthening communities on the frontline
According to information provided by Israel’s Channel 7, the Reservists – Victory Generation movement has begun to form groups of veterans who served in southern and northern Israel. These former soldiers intend to move to communities on the contact line, in particular in the Galilee, the Negev, the Jordan Valley and the periphery of Gaza. The main goal is to strengthen these territories, which are in dire need of not only protection but also reconstruction after the fighting.
Working together with the government and local authorities
The initiative is being implemented in partnership with the Israeli Ministry of Settlements and regional authorities. Minister of Settlements Orit Struk stressed the importance of this project for the future development of the communities: “These territories require tremendous efforts to rebuild and strengthen, both in the North and South of the country. We are committed to this process and strive to ensure the success of this important initiative,” she said. Her words emphasise not only the importance of security, but also the socio-economic development of these places.
Young generation at the forefront
The Minister of National Affairs, Amihai Shikli, stressed that in order to rebuild these communities, it is necessary to attract young people who are willing to stay in these areas for a long time: “We want to create new centres of life so that these areas are not only protected but also developed. We need young people who will be willing to settle and establish themselves on these lands, supporting them in times of need,” he said.
The importance of unity for the national future
Major Gilad Ah, head of the Reservists – Victory Generation movement, expressed his support for the initiative, stressing that the project is a logical extension of their military efforts. “After we have restored security in the north of the country, we are preparing for a new mission – strengthening communities on the southern and northern border, in the Gaza and Negev areas,” he said.
According to him, restoring communities and strengthening their defence is as important as protecting the territories at the front. “We already see many initiatives from reservists who are ready to move to these difficult areas. This is the way to victory, because holding the territories is only the first step. The most important thing is to strengthen the community and create a solid foundation for the future,” Ah concluded.
A look into the future: Reconstruction and unity of the nation
This initiative is an important step towards strengthening Israel’s national unity and security. It not only allows veterans to continue their service at a new level, but also gives young people the opportunity to make an important contribution to the country’s recovery. All of these efforts demonstrate how unity and determination can strengthen the state, increase defence capabilities and lay the foundations for sustainable development for the future.
This step not only demonstrates Israel’s readiness to face new challenges, but also serves as a vivid example of how the nation unites to achieve victory.
