Russia suffered enormous losses in the war against Ukraine in 2024. The total losses of the occupation forces – killed and wounded – have already exceeded 421,000 people. This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi on his Facebook page.

“We are destroying the aggressor by all possible means. Thus, since the beginning of 2024, the total losses of the occupiers involved in the offensive have already exceeded 421 thousand people,” noted Syrskyi.

According to the Commander-in-Chief, this year’s Russian losses are significantly higher than last year. The total number of Russian military casualties during the full-scale war that began in February 2022 is about 785,000.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to conduct active defensive and offensive operations on several frontlines. The enemy’s significant losses were made possible by the successful actions of the Ukrainian army, the use of the latest weapons and the support of international partners.
