The Security Service of Ukraine exposed an agent network of Russian special services that collected intelligence on the location of strategic military facilities in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Lviv regions. Three offenders passed to the occupiers the coordinates for missile strikes on airfields, command posts, repair plants and training centres of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the SBU, the men recruited by the Russian special services acted in the interests of the FSB remotely, receiving instructions through anonymous chats on Telegram. The agents were supervised by officers of the FSB Black Sea Fleet Directorate, who have already been identified by Ukrainian cyber experts.

One of the agents operated in Lviv, where he collected data on military facilities under the guise of a construction company forwarder. Another, a resident of the Kyiv region, made visits to identify air bases from which combat missions could be carried out. The third agent, a Kharkiv resident, collected information on the locations of the Ukrainian military and armoured vehicle repair facilities.

The SBU operatives detained all three agents while they were conducting additional reconnaissance near strategic facilities. The SBU seized phones with evidence of their activities in favour of the enemy.

The defendants were served a notice of suspicion under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason under martial law). All detainees were taken into custody and face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The SBU emphasises that the fight against Russian agents continues, and all those who collaborate with the enemy will inevitably be held accountable for their actions.
