The Ministry of Internal Affairs has resumed the service of ordering individual licence plates, which was temporarily suspended on 17 September. This was reported by the press service of the Main Service Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Starting from 6 November, Ukrainians will once again be able to apply for unique number plates to supplement their car’s state registration number. According to the SSC, this service is popular among car owners.
Since the beginning of 2024, 11,244 sets of individual licence plate layouts have already been produced, of which 10,902 were ordered through the driver’s electronic cabinet.
Format and cost of the service
The plate for passenger cars can contain from three to eight characters, for motorcycles – from three to six characters, in combinations of letters and numbers. The minimum inscription must include at least two letters.
The cost of the service is as follows:
- Number plates for passenger cars cost UAH 340.02.
- For motorcycles – UAH 154.80.
- The minimum order of three characters is UAH 300, and for each additional character up to eight – UAH 90.
- An additional graphic element costs UAH 500.
How to order and receive a number plate
You can order an individual licence plate at any territorial service centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or online through the driver’s e-cabinet. Ready-made number plates can be picked up at the Main Service Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv at 19 Mrii Street.
In addition, for an additional fee, delivery to Nova Poshta branches is carried out by the state enterprise INFOTECH. It takes up to 40 days to produce a customised number plate.
As a reminder, the service for ordering individual number plates was temporarily suspended on 17 September this year.
