The occupation administration of Mariupol claims that the city’s social facilities are already supplied with heat, but the real situation is different. Students of the so-called ‘Mariupol State University’ report that there is no heating in their classrooms. They wrote an appeal on one of the blackboards asking for the heating to be switched on, noting that it was extremely cold in the rooms. This was reported by the TimeUkraineIsrael portal, citing information from the telegram channel of the Mariupol City Council.
“We sit in class in jackets and down jackets – it’s very cold, it’s hard to study,” wrote university students describing the conditions in which they are forced to study.
A similar situation is observed at Priazovsky State Technical University. Students also complain about the lack of heat in the classrooms, which makes learning extremely uncomfortable.
The occupation administration had previously promised that from 1 November, heating would be switched on not only in social facilities, but also in residential buildings. However, many residents of Mariupol continue to complain about the cold in their apartments, particularly in multi-storey buildings where there is still no heating.
