The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, met with journalists to inform them about the progress of the fighting and emphasised the importance of countering Russian disinformation.
“We discussed the situation in the east, measures to stabilise it, and the importance of the Kursk operation. Countering Russian disinformation is critical to preserving Ukraine’s defence capabilities,” Syrsky wrote on his Facebook page.
The General expressed his gratitude to the journalists for their work, despite the risks associated with covering the war. To date, about 7,800 media representatives, both Ukrainian and foreign, have been accredited by the Armed Forces.
“Your work is extremely important for revealing the truth about the war, which concerns not only Ukraine but the whole world,” he said.
