Efforts to secure a release
Over the past few hours, efforts have been underway to ensure that the release begins on Sunday. However, this process is facing difficulties due to appeals to the High Court of Justice regarding Palestinian prisoners who are to be released under the deal. As the appeals are only heard on weekdays, ways are being explored to shorten the review time to allow the process to begin on Sunday evening.
Release procedure
Each stage of the release will follow a clear protocol: only after the hostages have been handed over to IDF forces and their families have been officially notified will the Prime Minister’s Office release the names of those released that day.
