On 23 November 2024, temporary power supply restrictions will be reintroduced in Ukraine. The restrictions will last from 8:00 to 22:00. This is reported by Time Ukraine Israel portal with reference to Ukrenergo‘s telegram channel.

Reasons for the restrictions

This time, restrictions on electricity supply are being imposed due to significant damage to energy facilities caused by a massive drone and missile attack by the enemy on 17 November. Several important energy facilities were damaged as a result of these attacks, which requires emergency repairs.

Power engineers are now actively working to repair the damaged equipment and minimise the time of outages. However, given the scale of the damage, restrictions are necessary to stabilise the power grids.

Time of restrictions and possible changes

Power outages will take place during one period from 8:00 to 22:00. This means that most consumers will be disconnected from the grid during this period. However, it is worth noting that the time of the restrictions and their scope may vary throughout the day depending on the situation at the power facilities and the progress of emergency repair works.

To get the most up-to-date information, it is important to refer to official sources, in particular, the websites of regional power distribution companies or the official pages of Ukrenergo.

Recommendations for consumers

  1. Do not switch on several powerful appliances at the same time: Immediately after the power is restored, try not to switch on several high-powered appliances at the same time. This will help reduce the load on the grid and avoid new outages.
  2. Check the time of outages: Since the schedule is subject to change, it is recommended that you regularly check official information about outages and power restoration schedules.
  3. Preparing for outages: It is recommended that you prepare in advance for possible power outages. Keep your mobile phones and other important devices charged and ready to go in the event of a power outage.
  4. Save electricity: In the event of a power outage, limit the use of appliances that consume large amounts of energy. This will reduce the load on the power grid and contribute to a more stable power supply.
  5. Safety Warning: When switching on electrical appliances after the power supply has been restored, check them for faults. It is also important to monitor the condition of your home electrical networks.

The importance of support and understanding

During these temporary restrictions, every consumer can contribute to the stability of the energy system. Understanding the situation and taking responsibility for the use of energy resources is extremely important, as our common goal is to restore energy facilities as soon as possible and return to normal supply.

Changes are possible

Please note that outage schedules may be adjusted depending on the circumstances, so please follow the official updates. In case of changes in the time of outages or schedules, Ukrenergo and regional power distribution companies regularly publish up-to-date data.
