An elderly woman was injured in the Darnytsia district of Kyiv as a result of a delayed drone explosion. This was reported by Mayor Vitali Klitschko, who stressed that the explosion occurred after the enemy UAV was shot down.
“One victim was hospitalised in the capital after the night attack on Kyiv. The explosive part of the downed drone worked with a delay. An elderly woman, a resident of the Darnytskyi district, was wounded,” Klitschko wrote on Telegram.
The area is cordoned off, sappers are working
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine clarified that pyrotechnic units are working at the scene and are defusing the remains of the explosive device. Access to the potentially dangerous area is restricted, and the police are working.
“Please be understanding of the restrictions and strictly follow the instructions of the rescuers,” the SES said in an official statement.
Rescuers urge Kyiv residents not to approach unknown objects and to report suspicious objects immediately by calling 101 or 102.
The enemy uses cluster munitions
The Kyiv City State Administration warns that there may be repeated explosions in some areas of the capital due to the remnants of cluster munitions dropped by kamikaze drones at night. Experts urge residents to be especially careful not to approach the wreckage and remnants of equipment.
