This week, Israel hosted a high-level visitor from the United States, General Michael “Eric” Kurilla, Commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), who visited the country at the invitation of Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defense Forces, the IDF press service reports.
During the visit, the leaders held a strategic meeting where they focused on assessing the regional situation and discussing possible ways to neutralise threats in the Middle East. They examined various scenarios that could arise on both the near and distant fronts, stressing the importance of strengthening operational cooperation and enhancing preparedness for any eventuality.
This visit underscores the importance of a strong strategic relationship between the Israeli Defence Forces and the United States Armed Forces, which is a key element of stability in the region. Both sides expressed their readiness to continue working together to protect their interests and maintain international peace.
