The United States and Israel have entered into a preliminary agreement that provides for the possibility of the leaders of the Hamas terrorist group leaving the Gaza Strip. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Aleksey Zheleznov“, citing sources in diplomatic circles.

Under what conditions is it possible to leave?

According to the published information, the departure of high-ranking Hamas representatives will be allowed only if they fully disarm and release all Israeli hostages. Other details and countries that may receive Hamas leaders have not yet been specified.

This is the first clear signal of a possible “organised exit” of the group from the enclave as part of the negotiation process.

Hamas is ready for a truce, but has its own conditions

Earlier, Hamas declared its readiness for a truce, but insisted on maintaining armed resistance. One of the group’s key representatives in Gaza, Khalil al-Haya, said that Hamas “remains positive about the ceasefire and prisoner exchange talks”.

According to him, in response to the latest proposal by international mediators on Thursday, Hamas gave a positive response and is ready to move to the second stage of the agreement, which provides for the

cessation of hostilities,

The release of Palestinian prisoners,

– provided that Israel does not obstruct the implementation of the agreements.

Hamas’ political position

Al-Khaya also recalled the group’s key conditions, including:

– a complete cessation of the Israeli military operation in Gaza,

release of Palestinian Arabs arrested on security charges,

– recognition of the right of the Palestinian people to establish their own state with Jerusalem as its capital and the right of refugees to return.

What does this mean?

The preliminary agreement between Washington and Tel Aviv indicates a new stage in the diplomatic process, in which the parties are seeking a bloodless way out of the crisis, avoiding a full escalation. If the agreement is implemented, it could be a turning point in the conflict – albeit with many conditions and risks.
