Yitzhak Cohen, a 37-year-old Israeli, and his 27-year-old fiancée, Geneva Lopez, a model and former beauty queen from Pampanga province in the Philippines, who were reported missing over two weeks ago, have been found dead. Fragments of their bodies were discovered in an old quarry near the town of Capas in the Philippines. Local police are investigating the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

According to the newspaper “Maariv,” Cohen and Lopez’s bodies were found on the morning of the same day. Their car was found burned out nearly two weeks ago. The bodies have been taken to a local forensic lab for autopsy and DNA sampling.

The last time Yitzhak Cohen and Geneva Lopez were seen was on June 21, when they drove their SUV to Capas to finalize a land deal. According to Cohen’s brother, Yitzhak was meeting a man who owed him money that had been lent several years ago during the illness of this man’s wife. The debt was never repaid, but the man offered to transfer a piece of land to Cohen instead and invited him to negotiate the details.

Their burned-out vehicle was discovered in Capas on the morning of June 22. Philippine police have identified seven suspects, including a realtor who organized the meeting. The first report of the couple’s disappearance came from Geneva’s sister, Joni, who informed the police that she could not reach Geneva or her Israeli fiancé.

Yitzhak Cohen had been living in the Philippines for several years, and Geneva Lopez was his fiancée. The couple had planned to marry soon.
