As reported by Bloomberg, Turechchyna changed its mind and reduced the scope of its activities in order to attract the lowest-priced F-16s from the United States. Initially, it was planned to purchase 40 new F-16 Block 70 aircraft and about 80 kits for the modernization of the current Navy fleet of Turecchyny for a purse of $23 billion. However, the Turkish side looked at its needs and made arrangements.
The US Department of State has signed the official purchase form, indicating that the negotiations between Ankara and Washington have a significant deadline. This benefit is seen as an important investment in NATO security and valuable cooperation between the two countries.
According to Defense Post, we understand the reduction in the strength of Turkey’s armored forces from NATO, which is of greater importance for regional and global security.
The details of the further negotiations are ongoing, so as to confirm the intention of both sides to continue to honor the military dispute.
