Israel has received strong support from President Donald Trump’s administration. According to the press service of the US State Department, Secretary of State Marco Rubio signed a declaration to immediately accelerate military assistance to Israel worth about $4 billion.

“I have signed a declaration to use emergency powers to expedite the delivery of nearly $4 billion in military aid to Israel,” Rubio said.

He also stressed that the lifting of the partial arms embargo imposed during the Joe Biden administration was another confirmation that Israel has no greater ally in the White House than President Trump.

According to Rubio, Trump’s team will continue to use all possible mechanisms to fulfil the US strategic commitments to Israel’s security, including measures to counter any threats.

This is not the first large-scale deal in favour of Israel during the current administration. In total, about $12 billion worth of military supplies have been approved during Trump’s tenure.

As a reminder, the US State Department has recently approved the sale of almost $3 billion worth of weapons and military equipment to Israel.

These steps further consolidate Washington’s position as Jerusalem’s main strategic partner amid the ongoing war against Hamas and the escalating situation in the Middle East.
